So I was talking to one of my very best friends today and I was explaining some struggles I'm having and some things I was feeling. She said something to me that I can't get out of my head, "You can't live in feelings. You have to seek the truth. You have to ask God to show you the TRUTH."

Okay so I know that but, today when she said it, it really hit me pretty hard. I am a woman and I "feel" a lot. I've made way too many decisions based on "feelings". I am constantly praying for TRUTH and today my truth telling friend helped me see a few things I need to really commit to praying about. I truly believe God will answer my prayer. But I need to be diligent in truly casting all of my cares upon Him instead of allowing my mind to carry them for me.

I completely understand! I'm such a feeling person and trying to lean on God to show me the way. I'm needing discernment!

~~~ This is a worthy discussion. I was looking for something beautiful and found this blog. While searching the blue letter Bible for the quote that Christians are lovers of truth I found these scriptures.
Here is my gift to the wonderful truth seaking women who are blogging on this site.
Isa. 61:8 "I will direct their work in truth" Turn this into a prayer. Lord, my God, direct my work in truth and my decisions that they may be based on Your truth"
Psalm 15:1,2 " LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart."
Lord, my God, Praise Your Holy Name. Cause me to speak truth in my heart and help me to walk uprightly and to work in righteousness
1 Sam 12:24 "Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great [things] he hath done for you."
Oh, Lord, my God, Help me to serve you in truth with all my heart
Psalm 25:5
"Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. "
Lord, lead me by your Spirit of Truth in your truth and teach me especially as I make the decisions in my life
Feelings are important, but they don't necesarily reflect what is true.
